1.     Kathleen Snow Kicks Off Her 150th Anniversary Challenge!

To mark this milestone year, our Worldwide President (WWP), Kathleen Snow, has begun her 150th Anniversary Challenge, running 10 km in 15 dioceses around the world throughout 2026 to support our mission to end injustice, end poverty, and end violence.

Her first 10 km run took place on the 23rd January in her home Diocese of Fredericton, and future runs will take her to Bahrain, the UK, and, of course, Durban in October. Demonstrating her determination, Kathleen even added an extra kilometre to her first run, braving very icy conditions!

Please follow Kathleen on Mothers’ Union social media to stay inspired by her journey and join in celebrating our 150th Anniversary through your own acts of service and challenge.

You can show your support and make a donation to Kathleen via the JustGiving link.

2.     Celebrating Pauline McCalla, DP of London

We are delighted to share some wonderful news from the Diocese of London. One of our own Mothers’ Union leaders, Pauline McCalla, Diocesan President of London, has been named among three new Prebendaries of St Paul’s Cathedral. The Bishop of London, the Rt Revd and Rt Hon Dame Sarah Mullally DBE, announced the appointments, recognising the significant contribution each individual has made to the life of the Church. This is a special honour, especially in this 150th anniversary year of Mothers’ Union reflecting faithful service, leadership, and commitment.

We give thanks for the dedication and ministry of Pauline McCalla and celebrate this recognition of her work. Please join us in congratulating her and holding her in your prayers as she takes on this new role alongside her ongoing service within Mothers’ Union.

3.     Staffing update from MSH

We are pleased to share some good news from the Central Team. Lucy Bubb has joined us as Faith and Church Engagement Manager and Claire Mescia as National Programmes Manager. Both of them are in your Membership Team. We are delighted to welcome them both.

Lucy and Claire bring valuable skills, experience and enthusiasm, and we are very much looking forward to the contribution they will make to our work and mission. Please join us in welcoming them and holding them in your prayers as they settle into their new roles.

4.     MU Live - your stories bring Mothers’ Union to life!

We encourage you to continue submitting updates through MU Live. Every story shared helps to celebrate the amazing work happening across our movement from small acts of kindness to large community initiatives. These stories inspire others, strengthen our connections, and show the many ways faith in action is transforming lives every day.
