MUe is short for Mothers’ Union Enterprises which is the Trading Arm of Mothers’ Union.
Last year (2017) – thanks to MUe Reps and customers – Mothers’ Union received over £320,000 in total – almost half the community development budget, from the profit on the income generated by MUe. That’s 12% of the total income. The aspiration is for a time when our trading arm (MUe) can sustain community development entirely.
When you shop using the online catalogue, or ordering by post (using a paper catalogue), all the profit goes towards the vital work of the Mothers’ Union charity. Guaranteed. So the more you buy, the more people we can help, and the more equal and fair a society we can create.
All MU items like badges and certificates need to be purchased through MUe. We have a few people in the diocese who hold stock of these and other goods – cards (Birthday, Get Well Soon, Occasion and Seasonal) and lovely gifts. They are willing to come to your branch to sell these but we are looking to change the way this works to make us more Environmentally Friendly.
Catalogues are distributed via Families First and can be found on line.
If your branch does not have a hard copy of the current catalogue, please contact the office. We are hoping that each branch will order their goods through the catalogues themselves to save the expense of dedicated members driving huge distances around the diocese to deliver them. At the moment you do not have to pay postage if you order over £50 worth of items. If your branch cannot make an order up that large, why not speak to a branch nearby to see if you can combine your orders to save the cost of postage?
