Emergency Prayer Chain

There are members who have agreed to pray for one month for people and situations that may arise from time to time.

This may be because of illness, bereavement, family or employment issues – there is no limit to the need.

You should access the prayer chain by visiting the MU Oxford website www.muoxford.org.uk On the left hand side of every page on the website you will see 2 large blue circles: in the top one it reads ‘Latest Focus magazine’ and the other (lower) one says ‘Emergency Prayer Chain’ – Click on this circle and a form will open up which you should complete. You are asked for your name, email address and the details of the prayer request: your personal details will never be divulged to those who pray. The ‘Captcha code’ is there to ensure that you are a real person and not a machine. Petitions will be made for one month. If the situation changes then it would be helpful if you could complete another form so that those praying can be updated.

If you do not have internet access and do not want to ask someone else to submit a prayer request through the website, then please leave a voicemail message on our office phone (01865 787587) stating your name, phone number and the prayer request. Please listen carefully to the message on the answerphone as sometimes during holiday periods you might be asked to call another number.

If you would be willing to be on the list of those offering prayers, then please speak to your AVP who will organise for you to be included on the list of those asked to pray. We regret that you must be able to access the internet in order to offer your services to pray in this way.

Verse of the Day

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” — Hebrews 1:3 Listen to chapter Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984, 2011 by Biblica.
