Midday Prayers

Saying short prayers in the middle of the day has become a special practice of the Mothers’ Union. Whenever members are together in the middle of the day, we break off for a few minutes at Midday to say these short prayers, which include mention of those dioceses, who are specially remembered in the Wave of Prayer. Around the world MU members are praying everyday at noon for each other.

In Oxford diocese, Midday prayers are said at Christ Church Cathedral as part of the worship in the middle of the day.

Midday prayers are always said at our central offices in Mary Sumner House in London.  The prayers they use are on the central Mothers' Union website.
