Winslow Branch hold a Teddy Bears Picnic
Winslow Branch held a successful Teddy Bear picnic recently.
Rev Belinda Searle-Barnes told the story of Noah’s Ark from the chancel steps and the children and teddies joined in with animal noises and suggestions about which animals were there, bears of course with interesting growling sounds and trumpeting elephants. After the picnic, outside in spite of the cool breeze, a mural of ark and animals was made for the church and the makers rewarded with ice creams. The teddies enjoyed it too; especially apprentice Police Community Support Officer Mr. Rupert Bear (“Roop”).
